Carillon recital
On the morning of the Alumni Festival, you’ll hear the bells of the carillon chiming from the Clocktower.
Isaac Wong, one of our University of Sydney Carillonists, performs on the 54-bell War Memorial Carillon for graduation ceremonies, recitals and special events, and teaching Carillon.
Isaac Wong has played the Sydney University Carillon since he was a student at the University’s School of Pharmacy. He was appointed Honorary Carillonist at the University in 2002. Isaac is the first Australian to study at the Royal Carillon School in Belgium, graduating with a High Distinction Diploma in 2009. He has since played several recital tours in Europe and North America. Isaac’s rendition of Game of Thrones on YouTube remains one of the most searched and watched carillon performances online.
The Carillon will be played 9.30-10am and 11.15-11.45am.
